UNIVERSITY OF CINCINNATI EXTENDS RELATIONSHIP WITH IMG

The University of Cincinnati today announced it has reached an agreement to extend its multimedia rights and licensing agreements with IMG through 2027.
 
“Fueling our intensity of interest through the long-standing relationship with IMG is a critical partnership that allows us to boast of a bright future,” said Mike Bohn, UC’s Director of Athletics. “Together, we will continue to make major improvements in our game-day experience for our dedicated fans, which includes new state of the art digital signage and sponsorship activation with treasured local, regional and national sponsors.”
 
The multimedia rights partnership between the University of Cincinnati and IMG College began in 2008. IMG College will continue to provide exclusive representation of the corporate partner program and commercial business for Bearcats Athletics including radio broadcasts, television features, club level sponsorships, hospitality, coaching endorsements and in-venue signage.
 
“We are thrilled to continue our partnership for another decade with University of Cincinnati Athletics,” said Tim Pernetti, President, IMG College. “IMG College will continue to provide unique and powerful solutions that will enhance the experience for Bearcats student-athletes, as well as their passionate fans and loyal constituents.”
IMG will also continue to manage the university’s successful trademark licensing program for the duration of the agreement. The University of Cincinnati’s program has generated more than $14.5 million in licensing royalties since the school partnered with IMG College Licensing in 1992. 
 
“IMG College Licensing provides us with the technological systems that help us better manage UC’s brand in the retail market and a deep bench of talented people committed to helping us maximize visibility while ensuring the highest quality merchandise is available for our constituents,” said Martin Ludwig, UC’s Director of Trademarks & Licensing. “We’ve set new records for licensing income each of the past five years and are excited to extend our partnership with IMG to continue delivering great results for the University.”
 
Officially licensed product for the University of Cincinnati is currently sold at more than 540 retailers across the country. Revenue from the sale of Cincinnati licensed products supports both academics, through scholarships, as well as athletics.
