As fall rapidly approaches, and everyone’s favorite team is still undefeated, college fans everywhere are embracing the renewal of traditions and displaying their spirit for the kick-off of football season. This year’s College Colors Day, taking place Aug. 31, will spark more than 195 million college fans nationwide to unleash their colors by wearing gear to support their favorite school.

The annual holiday, created by IMG College Licensing (IMGCL), showcases the unmatched passion and pride fans have for colleges and universities across the country by encouraging them to rep their college colors and share photos and video on social media using the hashtag #CollegeColorsDay.

“Whether you’re one of the millions of fans packing college stadiums across America or simply watching your favorite team on TV, there’s a common bond of wanting to show your school pride by wearing your college colors,” said Nicole Armentrout, Vice President, Marketing at IMG College Licensing. “That passion is on full display on College Colors Day, and we can’t wait to see every fan ‘unleash’ their colors this year.”

Beyond showing their fandom on social media, fans can also visit www.CollegeColorsDay.com for 30% cash back on new collegiate merchandise for the season through an inaugural partnership with Ebates. Through Sept. 2, fans can also use the website to enter for the chance to win a variety of prizes, including two tickets and a trip to the national championship game in the Bay Area thanks to IMGCL’s partnership with the College Football Playoff (CFP), and its charitable arm, Extra Yard for Teachers.

This is the most exciting time of the year for college football fans. Whether going to work, school, or just spending time with friends, college fans are encouraged to share in the excitement of a new season by wearing their gear on College Colors Day.
